Septrin is a one-of-a-kind, fully handmade sculptural art creature created for collectors and display. Originating from the Dreaded Sea within the Realm of Morvath, Septrin are rare spectral sea-beings believed to rise only after the loss of their lifelong mate.

Resembling a small squid or octopus-like creature, Septrin features a softly rounded body, gently curling limbs, and large reflective eyes said to perceive emotion, fate, and lingering magic rather than sight alone. Each Septrin bears unique, iridescent coloration—layered, shifting hues that shimmer subtly in low light. No two are ever alike, as these spectral patterns are believed to reflect memory, bond, and inner balance.

According to Morvath folklore, Septrin are lifelong companions, bonded to a single mate for the entirety of their existence. When one mate is lost, the surviving Septrin slowly petrifies, guided by ancient buoyant magic to the surface, where it is found entangled in moss, seaweed, and drift remnants. It is only in this state that Septrin are ever discovered.

During the 1800s, sailors and pirates regarded petrified Septrin as powerful omens. When kept with reverence in moss-lined chests, they were believed to bring safe passage, uncanny fortune, and a year of bountiful treasure. Though petrified, Septrin are not believed to be dead—their colors continue to shimmer faintly, suggesting a suspended, dreaming state.
